Field Service Technician

Overview

The Field Service Technician will be in charge of the daily duties related to the installation and upkeep of diesel engine-powered generating units. Preventive maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and surveys are all included in this.

Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment and systems at customer sites. • Troubleshooting technical issues and diagnosing problems with equipment and systems. • Conducting routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly. • Repairing or replacing faulty or damaged components and parts. • Providing technical support and training to customers and other stakeholders. • Documenting service activities, including maintenance records and repair reports. • Collaborating with other teams, such as sales and engineering, to ensure effective communication and problem resolution.

Requirements

• Technical expertise in power generation, electrical systems, and diesel engine mechanics; experience doing surveys. • Installation, diagnosis, and maintenance of generator sets • Expertise in safety procedures and guidelines within the electricity sector Strong analytical and diagnostic skills • Capacity to operate both individually and together Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities Sharp attention to detail and robust organizational abilities • Certificates pertinent to the production of electricity or a related field
