Overview

We are looking to add a highly competent and driven Farm Supervisor to our team. The Farm Supervisor will be in charge of supervising a group of farm laborers, keeping an eye on day-to-day operations, and making sure that resources are used effectively and efficiently in order to meet production goals while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Management of Operations: • Everyday farming operations, such as planting, irrigation, fertilizer, pest control, and harvesting, should be planned, coordinated, and supervised. • To maximize yields and quality, implement and enforce best practices in crop management. • In order to reduce risks and increase productivity, farmers should keep an eye on the weather and change farming practices accordingly. Team Leadership: • Oversee and inspire a group of agricultural laborers, offering direction, instruction, and assistance as required. • Assign duties and responsibilities wisely to guarantee efficient operation and prompt completion of tasks. • Encourage team members to have a culture of safety, cooperation, and ongoing development. Resource Management: • To meet production targets within financial limits, effectively manage farm resources, such as labor, machinery, and supplies. • Ensure that crop yields, equipment upkeep, and inventories are all accurately documented. Assurance of Quality: • Ensure that all crops meet or surpass specified criteria for freshness, attractiveness, and nutritional content by putting quality control methods in place. • To find and fix any problems or concerns, regularly inspect the fields, crops, and equipment. • Work together with the teams responsible for food safety and quality assurance to uphold industry standards and legal regulations.

Requirements

• A certificate in agribusiness or similar subjects. • A track record of success in supervisory or farm management, ideally in a commercial farming setting. • Excellent leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and lead a varied team. • Thorough understanding of pest management strategies, agronomic concepts, and crop production methodologies. • Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and organizing abilities. • Competence with agricultural technology and equipment, such as GPS, irrigation systems, and farm management software. • A dedication to environmental care, sustainability, and safety.
