The accounts receivable officer is in charge of receiving and confirming payments, as well as providing management with information to aid in decision-making. Maintaining the highest ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality, the position holder will work with several school departments to improve financial operations and assist the Finance Manager in carrying out important initiatives, adding to the overall quality of the school's finances and operations.
Operational and General Tasks • Make a list of debtors with past-due debts. • Follow up with debtors to ensure prompt payment. • As per protocol, take receipt of all monies paid to the school and give receipts. • Create bills for fees for enrolled students, communicate with the admissions office about billing for new enrollees, coordinate with the vice president's office regarding DSA fees, and create any other invoices that need to be generated. • Uploading every receipt to the EdAdmin website. • Consult with parents regarding cheque returns. • Report on the proposals for monthly tuition payments. Special Projects/Other: • Supports the Finance Manager in special projects. • Any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting • Professional Qualification in Accounting • Post qualification experience of 2 years in a similar role. • Knowledge of accounting standards • Knowledge in Financial Accounting • Excellent Communication skills • Knowledgeable in MS Excel and Accounting software
