Overview

In addition to producing financial and other important reports for management, the Head of Financial Operations will be in charge of overseeing and managing day-to-day accounting activities, making sure that proper accounting and recording of business transactions are completed accurately and on time, monitoring expenditures, auditing procedures, and guaranteeing proper revenue assurance function.

Responsibilities

• Make sure that every asset owned by the organization is properly tracked and accounted for. • To make sure they are adhering to the terms of the contract, debtors and creditors are tracked and monitored every month. • Review financial, control, and management information systems and processes on a regular basis and apply changes across the entire organization. • Collaborate with every product owner to guarantee that all revenue streams' lead to cash process is supported by controls. • To promote internal improvements through job prioritization or risk resolution activities, provide a thorough revenue risk analysis. • Oversee and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, making sure that correct and timely accounting and documentation of business transactions are carried out. • Create financial and other important reports for management; make sure rules are followed; organize audit procedures; keep an eye on spending; and guarantee that the revenue assurance system is operating properly. • Help with creating the year-end accounting draft, providing schedules for assistance, and coordinating with the auditors. • Assume accountability for guaranteeing the precision of the accounting data stored in the company's accounting system and the information it reports. • Supervises the month-end, half-year, and year-end closing processes; if appropriate, delegates tasks to the accounting staff. • Create and evaluate balance sheet accounts, income and expense accounts, and cash flow statements.

Requirements

• A graduate degree in finance, accounting, or a similar discipline • A recognized accounting qualification such as ICA/ACCA • Six (6) years minimum of relevant experience, of which three (3) were spent in a supervisory capacity • A clear grasp of performance analysis and advanced corporate finance. • Strong managerial and financial skills, including a track record of successfully managing projects and processes. • A critical, imaginative, autonomous thinker who pays close attention to details. • A solid understanding of IFRS accounting, including group accounting, as well as practical experience with it. • Familiarity with BI tools and ERP software, such as Sage 300 ERP. • Strong relationship-building and bargaining abilities, • A track record of success communicating with the board of directors and executive management
