We are looking for a proactive, meticulous Assistant Procurement Officer to join our team in our Kumasi headquarters. In order to support our goal of giving our clients high-quality healthcare products, you will be essential to the seamless functioning of our procurement activities as an Assistant Procurement Officer.
• Help in locating and acquiring pharmaceutical items, making sure that they are delivered on time and that quality requirements are followed. • Keep thorough records of all procurement-related correspondence, such as purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules. • Work together to negotiate contracts, prices, and advantageous terms with suppliers. • To prevent stock outs and overstock situations, keep an eye on inventory levels and help with inventory management. • Identify prospective suppliers by conducting market research and keep abreast of prices and industry developments. • Assist the procurement manager in assessing supplier performance and putting new procurement procedures into place.
• A supply chain management bachelor's degree. • A minimum of three years of verified experience in procurement, ideally in the pharmaceutical sector. • Strong familiarity with contract management, negotiation, and sourcing procedures in the procurement process. • It is quite desirable to be familiar with pharmaceutical items and regulatory requirements. • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to forge meaningful connections with internal stakeholders and suppliers. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly with PowerPoint and Excel. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a focus on detail. • Capacity to operate both individually and jointly in a hectic setting.
