Agronomist

Overview

We are trying to find an agronomist with knowledge of growing vegetables, particularly habanero peppers. An agronomist must be skilled in both open-field and greenhouse vegetable production, and they must have practical experience producing vegetables. It will be up to you to look into and put solutions in place.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the vegetable producing process. • Using agronomic techniques to achieve the highest possible production and quality • Accurate recording of all agronomic procedures, including the kind and amount of chemicals utilized. • Accurate detection of disease and pest infestations and recommendation of the best control method • Getting farm workers to behave morally • Ascertain traceability in every step of the process, from harvesting and packing to the production phase. • Additional responsibilities judged essential for ensuring quantity and quality

Requirements

• Agriculture degree, HND, or diploma from a recognized school • Two years minimum of experience growing vegetables in an open field or greenhouse, with a focus on habanero peppers • The capacity to accurately diagnose pests and diseases pertaining to vegetables and provide suitable measures for their management • The capacity to operate a computer Circumstances • You will work Monday through Saturday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, as usual. • To fulfill deadlines, you might have to put in extra time or work on other non-working days or hours.
