Operations/General Manager

Overview

To supervise our engineering operations, we are looking for a qualified and experienced operations/general manager. In addition to guaranteeing effective project execution and upholding high standards of quality, the Operations/General Manager will be in charge of overseeing and managing all facets of engineering projects. Strong engineering management experience, outstanding leadership qualities, and a track record of effectively overseeing engineering projects are requirements for the perfect candidate.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that engineering projects are planned, carried out, and completed in a way that respects requirements, budgets, and schedules. • To maximize project efficacy and efficiency, create timetables, plans, and resource allocation schemes. • To reduce project delays or cost overruns, keep an eye on the status of the work, recognize possible risks and problems, and take appropriate corrective action. • To guarantee best use and productivity, manage engineering resources, such as staff, tools, and supplies. • To acquire the supplies, equipment, and materials required for engineering projects, collaborate with the procurement and logistics departments. • To ensure that engineering requirements, codes, and regulations are being followed, conduct routine inspections and quality audits. • Throughout the course of the project, keep stakeholders informed about updates, milestones, and progress reports to maintain accountability and transparency. • Promote constructive and cooperative connections with stakeholders and clients to increase customer satisfaction and project success. • Oversee, assist, and inspire a group of engineers, project managers, and technical personnel while offering possibilities for professional growth. • Encourage open communication, knowledge sharing, and respect for one another among team members as you cultivate an environment that values cooperation, accountability, and teamwork.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related discipline, or its equivalent. • At least five to ten years of engineering or business experience • Strong understanding of engineering concepts, procedures, and practices, as well as proficiency in one or more engineering specialties. • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities, with the capacity to work well with a variety of teams and stakeholders. • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, engineering design tools, and project management software. • While not necessary, professional credentials such as PMP and CEng are preferred.
