Overview

The position holder will be in charge of ensuring the health, safety, welfare, and discipline of every employee on the installations as well as the security of all operations taking place on the 500-meter zone.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead in fostering a safety culture within the offshore organization and achieving operational excellence and safety. • Achieve compliance with company EHS and quality standards for offshore work operations. • Show leadership and a clear commitment to achieving superior EHS performance. • The Offshore Representative of the Operational Safety Case is responsible for monitoring adherence to the Safety Case guidelines and making sure that the workforce is aware of the risks and the precautions taken to reduce them. • Creating and carrying out an installation EHS plan to assist in enhancing environmental, health, and safety performance • Establishing and upholding a high standard of emergency response capacity on the installation serve as the "on-scene commander" in the event that an incident occurs on or near the installation that puts people or property in danger. • Make that the maintenance and inspection programs fulfill the criteria of the maintenance management system, and that the 28- and 90-day plans are provided efficiently. Appropriate authorization for work deferrals guarantee that performance criteria are upheld. • Oversee maintenance tasks to ensure targeted plant availability, system integrity, and class criteria are met. • Make sure that every piece of machinery and plant is operated in compliance with the specifications specified in the design, and that any deviations are noted and included in the handover paperwork. • To guarantee that the asset keeps up with the intended purpose, uptime, and availability targets, collaborate closely with the Project and Integrated Execution Project teams. • Make sure that all processes and procedures relating to EHS, security, production, maintenance, integrity, and marine follow business requirements by collaborating closely with third-party contractors. • Accountable for fulfilling the yearly budget line items that fall under their purview, such as maintenance, offshore operations, catering, and lodging for the core crew. • Before starting any work, be sure the necessary financial commitments and approvals are in place. • Contribute to the annual budgeting process in accordance with the requirements of integrated asset planning. • Control activity that complies with planning procedures and assigned authority but is not part of the plan • Make that a culture of continuous improvement is established for operating and maintenance procedures and performance. • To increase overall installation performance and assist production optimization objectives, start making adjustments to plant, equipment, and working methods. • Make sure loss reporting procedures are followed and production management expectations are met. • Remedial activities are implemented following the reporting of incidents, accidents, and non-conformances. • In charge of overseeing the performance of direct reports, including creating strategies for efficient succession planning • Encourage local Ghanaian employees to get the knowledge and expertise needed to advance into operations management roles.

Requirements

• HND in a related engineering field or a comparable qualification • A fundamental understanding of the applicable FPSO management of deep water drilling operations, integrity management, production operations, and offshore safety • Proficiency with EHS management systems and high-quality implementation of EHS procedures. • Ten to fifteen years of recent, extensive relevant experience in the international offshore oil and gas sector; ideally, combined with business or commercial expertise. • Strong leadership and team-building abilities, as well as effective writing and verbal communication skills, are also crucial. • Prior experience in a position with comparable duties and responsibilities • The capacity to go abroad and, if necessary, to offshore sites • Proficient with computers and proficient with the "Office" software suite
