EGG PRODUCTION • Provide advice to the service technician regarding the needs for production, as well as the state of the equipment and the availability of supplies. • Assigns personnel to tasks including gathering, washing, and disinfecting eggs, feeding, and immunizing fowl, as well as cleaning and disinfecting every farm home. • Oversees the upkeep and repair of equipment and infrastructure, including breeding houses, hatcheries, automatic feeders, waterways, and layer nests. • Examines the quality of the shavings, nests, and litter throughout the farmhouse • Engages in job activities in order to reduce workload. • Varies the management program as needed and keeps an eye on the farms' homes' ventilation; gives shots and prescriptions. • Guarantees that biosecurity protocols are implemented and adhered to. • Guarantees adherence to egg and egg room hygienic norms. • Responsible for carrying out a farm's rodent and vector control program. • Reports on chicken mortality, feed consumption, and egg production are prepared. FEED PRODUCTION • Keep thorough daily records of the ingredients used in bags as well as the tools and supplies used in manufacture. • Delivery, manufacturing of bagged feed, inventory control, and loading. • Check and record feed weight, quality, and packaging. HATCHERY • Ensure that the hatchery produces the best possible chicks at the best possible percentage hatch rate at the lowest possible cost. • Makes certain that all quality assurance inspections for the following are finished. • Maintenance tasks, equipment inspections, immunization checks, and chick quality. • Observe both environmental and veterinary regulations. • Explains corporate principles to employees and upholds safety standards
• Animal science option for a BSc in agriculture or an MSC in agriculture with more than four years of experience producing poultry • MANAGING PEOPLE: Capability to select the most qualified individuals for a given task and to inspire, mentor, develop, and guide others while they work SOLVING - Recognizes issues and takes prompt action to address them; applies logic to sensitive subjects as well. • ORAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION: Pays attention, seeks clarification, deciphers written material • DEPENDABILITY: Complies with instructions and management directives; dedicates extended workdays to achieve objectives; finishes assignments on schedule or provides a backup plan to the relevant person. • Professionalism: Shows concern and respect for all people, no matter what their position or rank. • SAFETY AND SECURITY - Adheres to safety and security protocols; Makes appropriate use of tools and materials
