A payroll officer is responsible for managing and processing employee payroll. They calculate wages, deductions, and taxes, and ensure that employees are paid accurately and on time. They also handle payroll-related inquiries and maintain payroll records.
Maintain a database of all third-party staff ensuring accuracy of information. Submit timely employee data reports by assembling and analyzing data. Prepare and submit monthly payroll reports in line with your key responsibility. Acquaint yourself with the various tax calculations on all clients. Ensure 100% compliance to all payroll statutory in accordance to the tax laws. Assist in invoice generation for client payment. Respond to employee enquiries on complaint about attendance, salary and other employee benefit payments. Assist in maintaining structured policy on complaint procedure. Assist to ensure 100% data on Ghana Card and SSNIT information on all staff.
Degree or HND in related field Previous experience in payroll preparation and processing Strong attention to detail and accuracy Understanding of relevant laws and regulations related to payroll processing Ability to work to stringent deadlines Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
