Overview

A payroll officer is responsible for managing and processing employee payroll. They calculate wages, deductions, and taxes, and ensure that employees are paid accurately and on time. They also handle payroll-related inquiries and maintain payroll records.

Responsibilities

 Maintain a database of all third-party staff ensuring accuracy of information.  Submit timely employee data reports by assembling and analyzing data.  Prepare and submit monthly payroll reports in line with your key responsibility.  Acquaint yourself with the various tax calculations on all clients.  Ensure 100% compliance to all payroll statutory in accordance to the tax laws.  Assist in invoice generation for client payment.  Respond to employee enquiries on complaint about attendance, salary and other employee benefit payments.  Assist in maintaining structured policy on complaint procedure.  Assist to ensure 100% data on Ghana Card and SSNIT information on all staff.

Requirements

 Degree or HND in related field  Previous experience in payroll preparation and processing  Strong attention to detail and accuracy  Understanding of relevant laws and regulations related to payroll processing  Ability to work to stringent deadlines  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
