Overview

An HR/Compliance Officer plays a critical role in ensuring that an organization operates in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, while also fostering a positive and productive work environment. This dual role involves managing human resources functions related to recruitment, employee relations, and performance management, as well as overseeing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment and selection process
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.
  • Nurture a positive working environment.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Access training needs to apply and monitor training progress.
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Develop and implement an effective legal compliance programs.
  • Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them.
  • Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation.

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as HR and compliance officer.
  • People oriented and results driven
  • And HND or degree from a recognized institution.
