The chosen applicant will be in charge of making travel arrangements, creating and designing itineraries for both business and pleasure tours, and providing guidance on sightseeing.
• To assist clients, create and develop trip itineraries for both business and pleasure. • Create engaging tour programs and adjust schedules to suit the specific needs of your customers. • Update travel guides with relevant data gleaned from review research. • Should be aware of evolving patterns in regards to travel advisories and the cost of entering tourist attractions. • Cultivate and preserve commercial ties with vendors, such as lodging facilities, airlines, ground transportation, and MICE venues. • Take proactive measures to address unanticipated issues and grievances in order to decide on the best course of action. • Assemble and give management a competitive, helpful analysis. • Create an affordable trip package that fits the demands and spending limits of your consumers. • Make sure all requirements for vaccinations, visas, and safe travel are met. • Retain client confidentiality and a high standard of professionalism.
• A Bachelor's degree in geography or a closely related subject is required. • Five years or more of work experience in a related profession. • Experience working for a reputable travel agency as a tour guide or advisor. • Have excellent verbal and writing communication skills, and be able to interact politely and effectively with consumers. • Must be able to provide recommendations that are appropriate for specific client needs. • Must have strong interpersonal and leadership abilities. • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain strategic alliances and corporate ties. • Proficiency with computers, including Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as writing applications. • Capacity to operate under pressure while keeping a professional manner, including meeting deadlines and timeframes. • Proficiency in communication, negotiation, persuasion, and presentation. • Outstanding improvisational, time-management, and organizing abilities. • Outstanding familiarity with computer-based reservation systems and electronic travel. • Have experience with several types of travel (business, leisure, international, and domestic). • Possess a solid understanding of geography and be familiar with Ghana and its neighbors, Togo, Benin, and Cote d’Ivoire.
