Overview

The Cybersecurity Systems Engineer will plan, develop, and manage cybersecurity infrastructure. You'll keep a close eye on alarms, take corrective action when necessary, and offer advice on the best security posture. You will guarantee network security, guard against unauthorized access, alteration, and destruction, and resolve any issues related to access.

Responsibilities

  • Make vulnerability analyses.
  • Create and implement security technologies and frameworks.
  • Oversee and preserve the security infrastructure.
  • Set up and keep an eye on security tools to guarantee the availability and integrity of data.
  • React to and troubleshoot incident response activities, analyzing security events and liaising with pertinent teams among other things.
  • Manage end user accounts, rights to access, and storage allotments in conformity with privacy, security, and legal compliance best practices.

 

  • Second level of escalation for requests, incidents, and issues pertaining to security from the SOC or other departments.
  • Support cybersecurity engineering throughout the course of a project.
  • Examine the information assurance and cybersecurity posture of commercial service providers with regard to end-to-end networks, ground infrastructure, user terminal equipment, and service management systems.
  • Based on user and organizational needs, develop technical cybersecurity requirements; assess commercial cyber security services, products, and architectures.
  •  Make sure the commercial solutions completely fulfill the end-user's cybersecurity and IA needs.
  • Examine cybersecurity best practices, laws, and innovations.
  • Engage in working groups on cybersecurity with business, industry, and IT stakeholders; as the office's representative, you may promote collaboration and knowledge exchange.
  • Engage in discussions to acquire software products and services with vendors, contractors, and outsourcers.

Requirements

  • It is necessary to have a bachelor's degree in information systems, cybersecurity, or computer science—or an equivalent mix of relevant coursework and professional experience.
  • Two of the following cybersecurity certifications are required: OSCP, CISM, CEH, CISA, CISSP, and Security+.
  • Strong technical understanding of PC and network operating systems, as well as at least five years of technical work experience in the business.
  • Three or more years of expertise in cybersecurity, with a focus on ISO/IEC 27001 or the NIST cybersecurity framework.
  • Three or more years of experience providing administrative help for Windows Server Active Directory and Group Policy setup
  • Three or more years of expertise setting up, configuring, and maintaining firewalls, switches, and routers. (Preferably certified)
  • Preferably three or more years of experience with server virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware.
  • Preferably three or more years of experience with high availability, backup, and recovery systems and technologies.
  • Preferably two or more years of expertise developing scripts and automating Microsoft PowerShell.
  • The capacity to operate in a fast-paced atmosphere and adjust to shifting objectives.
  • Incredibly self-driven, focused, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong time-management and organizing skills.
  • Strong focus on providing client service.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for analysis, evaluation, and problem-solving.
  • Capacity to oversee and carry out research on IT-related problems and products as needed.
  • Familiarity with new developments and trends in the IT sector.
