Overview
We are seeking a skilled AC Technician to support HVAC operations within a food manufacturing facility. The role is critical in maintaining temperature-controlled environments, ensuring product quality, safety, and compliance with food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioning and HVAC systems within the production and storage areas.
- Ensure temperature and humidity levels meet food safety and regulatory standards at all times.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC equipment.
- Monitor and maintain cold rooms, chillers, and ventilation systems used in food processing.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure optimal environmental conditions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation for audits and compliance checks.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to prevent disruption in production.
- Follow all workplace safety, hygiene, and food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
Requirements
- Certification or diploma in HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related technical field.
- 2-3 years proven experience as an AC Technician, preferably in a manufacturing or food-processing environment.
- Familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP and GMP.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and control panels related to HVAC equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in temperature-controlled environments, including cold storage areas.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
