Overview
The Sales Executive will drive market expansion and execution excellence for biscuit brands in Togo by working closely with the existing importer/distributor—ensuring strong availability, visibility, and competitive positioning.
Responsibilities
1. Market Development & Sales Growth
- Identify new sales opportunities across general trade and modern trade.
- Expand numeric and weighted distribution.
- Drive volume growth through structured territory planning.
2. Distribution & Execution
- Work closely with importer to ensure last-mile distribution efficiency.
- Ensure product availability across key outlets (wholesalers, supermarkets, kiosks).
- Monitor stock levels, out-of-stock situations, and replenishment cycles.
3. Trade & Retail Execution
- Ensure proper merchandising and visibility.
- Implement promotions and in-store activations.
- Track execution compliance vs plan.
4. Market Intelligence
- Collect competitor insights (pricing, promotions, new launches).
- Provide structured market reports (weekly/monthly).
- Analyze sales data and recommend actions.
5. Strategy & Planning
- Contribute to pricing, SKU mix, and channel strategy.
- Support forecasting and demand planning.
- Align local execution with company growth strategy.
Requirements
- HND or Diploma in Sales and Marketing or Business Administration.
- A minimum of 5–7+ years in FMCG sales (preferably biscuits, confectionery, or snacks).
- Strong experience in Togo market distribution systems.
- Proven track record of delivering sales growth.
- Exposure in a Multinational or a strong local or regional FMCG company.
- Strong negotiation and distributor management skills.
- Hands-on, field-oriented mindset.
- Fluent in French (mandatory).
- Good working proficiency in English (spoken & written).
