Overview
Our client in the Food Manufacturing industry is seeking a well experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager who will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance systems and processes to ensure products and services meet established standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards.
- Oversee quality control processes across production or service delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the QA team to ensure high performance.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, engineering, operations) to resolve quality issues.
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure proper documentation of quality processes and test results.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Manage supplier quality and evaluate vendor performance where applicable
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years proven experience in quality assurance or quality management in the food production industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with quality tools and methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, root cause analysis).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS) and relevant software.
