Production Manager

Overview

Our client in the Food Manufacturing industry is seeking a Production Manager who will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure that products are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role oversees production teams, optimizes resources, and drives continuous improvement in operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize production schedules to meet demand and delivery timelines.
• Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency and productivity targets are achieved.
• Manage production teams, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Ensure products are manufactured in compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Monitor production performance metrics and implement improvements where necessary.
• Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage production budgets and control costs to maximize profitability.
• Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of machinery and equipment.
• Enforce health and safety standards and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in food production or manufacturing management.
• Strong understanding of production processes and operations management.
• Knowledge of quality control standards and health and safety regulations.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in production planning systems and relevant software.
