Overview

The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods. This role ensures efficient supply chain operations, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management.
  • Oversee shipment tracking and resolve delivery issues or delays.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with transport providers and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
  • Analyze logistics data and prepare performance reports.
  • Lead and supervise logistics staff, including training and performance management.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years proven experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation, inventory management, and warehousing systems.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
