Overview
The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods. This role ensures efficient supply chain operations, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management.
- Oversee shipment tracking and resolve delivery issues or delays.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with transport providers and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
- Analyze logistics data and prepare performance reports.
- Lead and supervise logistics staff, including training and performance management.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-3 years proven experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of transportation, inventory management, and warehousing systems.
- Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
