Overview

A reputable Hotel is looking for a professional Chef who will be responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting high-quality meals in accordance with the hotel or restaurant’s standards. The role involves overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining cost control to deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to approved recipes and presentation standards.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and portion sizes.
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff (Cooks, Kitchen Assistants, Stewards).
  • Assist in menu planning and costing.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals.
  • Maintain high service standards during peak hours.

Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related field (preferred).
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Good leadership and communication skills.
  • Locations are Accra and Keta.
