Mechanical Engineer

Overview

Our client in the Manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to support the design, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve mechanical components, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment.
• Support production operations by troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Collaborate with quality, production, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability and reliability
• Support new product introduction (NPI) from concept through production launch.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies.
• Evaluate and work with suppliers on materials, components, and manufacturing methods.

Requirements

• HND/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo).
• Familiarity with boilers, chillers, compressors machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
