Mechanical Engineer

Overview

Our Client in the Manufacturing Industry is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer, who will be responsible for designing, developing, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment used in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modify mechanical components, systems, and machinery for manufacturing operations.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery to minimize downtime.
• Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and provide timely solutions.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Collaborate with production, electrical, and quality teams to support manufacturing goals.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage spare parts planning and maintenance schedules.
• Support continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and automation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Experience with preventive maintenance systems.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
