Overview
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Control Manager for a Paper Manufacturing Company who will be responsible for overseeing all control systems, instrumentation, and automation processes within the paper manufacturing plant. This role ensures that production equipment operates efficiently, safely, and within quality standards through the effective maintenance, optimization, and integration of control systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all control systems, instrumentation, and automation processes to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality plant operations.
- Manage installation, maintenance, and optimization of PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to enhance process performance, product quality, and operational efficiency.
- Lead, supervise, and develop a team of control engineers and technicians.
- Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs for control and instrumentation systems.
- Troubleshoot control system and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate system documentation, configurations, and calibration records.
- Support and manage control system upgrades, capital projects, and integration of new technologies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in automation, process control, and team performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Automation, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in production planning, process control and automation, preferably in a paper, pulp, or continuous manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with PLC/DCS platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, ABB, Honeywell).
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation, PID control loops, and process automation.
- Experience with SCADA/HMI systems, industrial networking, and data historians.
- Familiarity with industrial safety systems and regulatory compliance (OSHA, NFPA, etc.)
