Production Planning and Control (PPC) Manager

Overview

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Production Planning and Control (PPC) Manager for a Paper Manufacturing Company who will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire production planning, scheduling, and inventory control processes to ensure that manufacturing operations run efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with customer requirements. The PPC Manager coordinates between sales, procurement, production, and logistics to balance supply and demand while maintaining optimal resource utilization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement master production schedules (MPS) based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
• Translate demand forecasts into detailed production plans to ensure timely product availability.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
• Monitor capacity utilization and adjust plans to balance workloads and eliminate bottlenecks.
• Monitor daily production activities to ensure adherence to the production plan and resolve deviations.
• Implement systems for tracking work-in-progress (WIP), material usage, and production outputs.
• Maintain accurate records of production data and performance metrics (e.g., OEE, lead time, delivery adherence).
• Ensure alignment between production output and quality standards.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for material flow and timely dispatches.
• Liaise with Sales, Procurement, and Engineering teams to align production with business goals.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for production planning and control.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing management.
• Proven experience in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Proficiency in production planning tools, Excel, and data analysis.
• Experience in [specific industry, e.g., automotive / electronics / FMCG] preferred.
