Cashier

Overview

A Reputable Supermarket is seeking a proactive Cashier who will be responsible for providing excellent customer service by efficiently and accurately processing customer purchases at the checkout counter. This role ensures all transactions are handled with honesty and integrity while maintaining a clean, organized, and friendly work environment.

Responsibilities

 Greet customers warmly and assist them in a friendly and professional manner.

 Operate cash register, POS system, and other checkout equipment accurately.

 Scan, weigh, and process items efficiently while maintaining accuracy in pricing and quantity.

 Handle cash, credit, debit, and other payment transactions responsibly.

 Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with store policies.

 Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.

 Answer basic customer inquiries and direct them to the appropriate department when necessary.

 Follow all store policies and procedures related to cash handling, security, and customer service.

 Assist with bagging groceries and ensuring products a handled carefully.

 Support store operations by performing other duties as assigned (e.g., stocking shelves, cleaning, or assisting with returns).

Requirements

 Diploma or a Senior High School Certificate.

 Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred (not required).

 Basic math and computer skills.

 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 Attention to detail and accuracy.

 Ability to work well under pressure and handle busy periods efficiently.

 Honest, reliable, and punctual.

 Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
