Overview

Our client is looking for a Production Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing activities on the production floor. The role ensures that production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. The supervisor leads a team of operators and technicians, monitors workflow, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

1. Production Operations

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities according to the production schedule.
  • Ensure products are manufactured on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Monitor machine operation, material usage, and output levels.
  • Communicate production goals and expectations to team members.

2. Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, motivate, and guide a team of production workers and machine operators.
  • Assign tasks, monitor attendance, and evaluate employee performance.
  • Provide on-the-job training and coaching to improve skills and efficiency.
  • Promote teamwork, discipline, and a safe working culture.

3. Quality Control

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Inspect products and processes to identify defects or deviations.
  • Work with the Quality Assurance department to resolve non-conformances.

4. Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety checks before shifts.
  • Report and investigate incidents or unsafe conditions promptly.

5. Process Improvement

  • Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve workflow.
  • Suggest ways to reduce waste, minimize downtime, and enhance efficiency.
  • Support implementation of lean manufacturing or 5S practices.

6. Reporting & Communication

  • Maintain accurate production records and shift reports.
  • Communicate any issues affecting production to management.
  • Participate in daily or weekly production meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proven experience in team supervision or line management.
  • Basic understanding of production planning, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or ERP systems is an advantage.
