We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Utilities Technician to support the smooth operation of utility systems in our dairy processing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting plant utilities to ensure continuous and efficient production.
Operate and monitor boilers, compressors, chillers, water treatment systems, and refrigeration systems.
Perform daily rounds, recording pressures, temperatures, and other system parameters.
Assist with CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems, ensuring proper sanitation of pipelines and tanks.
Support preventive maintenance activities on utility and process equipment.
Maintain accurate logs of equipment operation, maintenance, and inspections.
Respond to alarms or system malfunctions promptly and coordinate corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and food quality standards (e.g.).
Assist production teams with equipment start-up, shutdown, and changeovers as needed.
Monitor and report on the usage of energy and utilities to support sustainability initiatives.
Maintain cleanliness of utility areas and follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
BSC, BTECH or HND Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
1 year of relevant experience, preferably in a food or dairy manufacturing environment.
Basic understanding of boilers, compressors, chillers, and water treatment systems.
Knowledge of CIP systems and hygiene standards in food production is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in shifts and respond to maintenance emergencies.
Good teamwork, communication, and record-keeping skills.
