Software Product Owner

Overview

We are looking to add a creative and results-oriented Software Product Owner to our team to help us grow and innovate. You will be essential to the development and delivery of innovative software products in your capacity as a software product owner. As the liaison between our development team and stakeholders, it will be your responsibility to make sure that the product vision is efficiently converted into tasks that can be completed. The ideal applicant has a solid background in communication and analysis, is enthusiastic about technology, and has a track record of successfully delivering software solutions.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with key stakeholders to define the product vision, strategy,

Translate business requirements into actionable product initiatives and user stories

Create and maintain the product backlog, prioritizing features based on value, risk, and strategic alignment

Work closely with the development team to refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint goals

Facilitate backlog grooming sessions and sprint planning meetings to ensure alignment and transparency

Gather feedback from stakeholders and end-users to inform product decisions and improvements

Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including development, design, QA, and marketing

Define release goals and success criteria, collaborating with the development team to ensure timely delivery

Implement agile best practices and methodologies to streamline product development processes.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Proven experience 4 years in product management or related roles, preferably in a software development environment

Strong understanding of agile methodologies

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Ability to prioritize competing demands and make data-driven decisions

Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships

Proficiency in product management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana and software development lifecycle

Certification in Product Owner (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is a plus
