DevOps Engineer

Overview

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be at the intersection of development and operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. You will be responsible for automating deployments, managing cloud infrastructure, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring system performance and reliability. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for innovation within agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth build, test, and release processes.

• Implement and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, OVHCloud) with a focus on scalability and security.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, and related tools.

• Containerize applications and manage orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Support application development across back-end (Java, NodeJS, Python) and front-end (ReactJS, Angular, VueJS) environments.

• Administer databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server, with knowledge of spatial extensions (PostGIS, Oracle Spatial).

• Ensure compliance with release governance and quality standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, deployment, and integration issues.

• Monitor system performance using tools such as Prometheus, Dynatrace, or similar.

• Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, Jira).

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer.

• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab/GitHub.

• Expertise in automation and scripting (Linux Shell, Python, Groovy, YML).

• Proven knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with application servers (Jboss, Weblogic, Apache).

• Solid experience in cloud services (AWS, Azure, OVHCloud).

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and software development principles.

• Professional proficiency in English (verbal and written); French is an added advantage.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
