Consultant in Accounting

Overview

As a Junior Consultant in Accounting, you will work under the supervision of senior consultants and actively participate in various accounting and financial assignments. This role is ideal for a motivated candidate with strong analytical skills, eager to develop expertise in both OHADA and IFRS standards, while contributing to high-quality client service.

Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records and prepare periodic reporting (monthly, quarterly) in accordance with OHADA standards.

• Review and analyze general ledger accounts.

• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements.

• Perform account mapping between IFRS and OHADA frameworks.

• Process payroll in compliance with social and contractual obligations.

• Prepare and file tax and social security declarations.

• Support senior consultants in audit and advisory assignments.

Requirements

Education

• Master’s degree (Bac+4 / Bac+5) in Accounting, Audit, Finance, or equivalent.

• Graduates from business schools or universities with degrees such as DCC, DSCG, DECOGEF, MBA, etc.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in accounting assistance (including internships, depending on quality of experience).

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAGE SAARI, Perfecto).

• Solid understanding of Togolese accounting and tax regulations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational abilities, rigor, and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently with discretion and professionalism.

• Team spirit and strong interpersonal skills.

• Fluency in English is an asset.
