Accountant

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and updating financial records.
• Preparing financial statements and reports.
• Handling accounts payable and receivable: Processing invoices, making payments, and following up on overdue payments.
• Reconciling accounts: Examining bank statements and other financial records to ensure they match and identify any discrepancies.
• Assisting with audits and tax preparations: Preparing for and supporting internal and external audits and assisting with tax preparation.
• Ensuring compliance: Ensuring all financial activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and accounting principles.
• Budgeting and forecasting: Collaborating in developing budgets, creating financial forecasts, and monitoring performance against these forecasts.

Requirements

• Degree or Master in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least two (2) years proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
