Overview
The Accounts Executive will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring the smooth execution of accounting processes and supporting the preparation of financial reports.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining and updating financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
- Preparing financial statements and reports.
- Help in the preparation and submission of statutory liabilities and related documentation to client representatives
- Record company expenses and ensure they align with budgetary guidelines.
- Handling accounts payable and receivable: Processing invoices, making payments, and following up on overdue payments.
- Reconciling accounts: Examining bank statements and other financial records to ensure they match and identify any discrepancies.
- Assisting with audits and tax preparations: Preparing for and supporting internal and external audits and assisting with tax preparation.
- Ensuring compliance: Ensuring all financial activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and accounting principles.
- Budgeting and forecasting: Collaborating in developing budgets, creating financial forecasts, and monitoring performance against these forecasts.
Requirements
- HND or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Proven experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Basic Pension and Tax Laws.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills.
