Overview
The Workshop Technician is responsible for the assembly, repair, and maintenance of mechanical components, tools, and machinery in the workshop. This role supports production and operational efficiency by ensuring all workshop activities are completed accurately and safely.
Responsibilities
- Assembly & Fabrication: Assemble mechanical parts and equipment according to specifications and engineering drawings.
- Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose issues and perform repairs or maintenance on workshop tools and machines.
- Tool Management: Maintain and organize workshop tools, ensuring they are calibrated and in good condition.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to workshop safety standards and proper use of PPE at all times.
- Inventory & Documentation: Track tool usage, spare parts inventory, and maintenance logs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Mechanical workshop setting (2+ years preferred).
- Knowledge of machine tools, welding, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read technical blueprints and assembly diagrams.
- Good manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in Mechanical trade or workshop training (preferred).
