Overview
We are seeking a talented, creative and skilled Baker to design creative menus and oversee the production of premium baked goods and pastries. This position involves sourcing top-quality ingredients, ensuring adherence to food safety standards, and working closely with the culinary team to create distinctive, visually stunning desserts.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative menus for bread, pastries, and desserts.
- Ensure the production of high-quality baked goods, by ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Master various pastry techniques including baking, decorating, tempering, molding and finishing.
- Work with a team of pastry chefs and bakers.
- Source premium ingredients and uphold strict food safety and hygiene protocols.
- Work alongside the culinary team to create unique, visually appealing desserts.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bakery Chef in a culinary setting.
- Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized culinary institution specializing in pastry arts is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients and equipment.
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
- Creative passion for baking.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
