The chosen applicant will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting while making sure that business and industry rules are followed.
• Create, carry out, and oversee the yearly budgets for the business. • Work together with project teams to create construction project financial projections. • Analyze variances and suggest changes to bring financial performance into line with corporate objectives. • Make ensuring that proper client invoices are prepared and issued on time. • Oversee payment receipting and financial record reconciliation. • Manage billing schedules and make sure receivables are collected on time. • Oversee the timely and accurate processing of payroll for both contractors and employees. Make sure payroll processing complies with tax and labour requirements. • Address and settle any disparities pertaining to payroll. • Comply with local laws while preparing and submitting tax returns (VAT, PAYE, and corporation taxes). • Keep accurate records for all transactions pertaining to taxes. • Communicate with tax officials when they conduct audits or investigations. • To guarantee profitability, keep an eye on project budgets and examine task expenses. • Examine the finances of both current and finished projects to find areas that might want improvement. • Give management information to help with strategic decision-making and cost optimization. • Keep current and accurate financial records in accordance with audit and regulatory requirements. • Assure efficient financial information retrieval and safe documentation. • Oversee the prompt processing of transactions related to accounts payable and receivable. • To guarantee advantageous conditions for payments, bargain and keep up ties with clients and vendors. • Examine ageing reports on a regular basis to deal with past-due accounts. • Examine financial data to offer management decision-making insights. • To make sure there is enough operational liquidity, do a cash flow analysis. • Create and provide financial reports on a regular basis to the management group.
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a similar discipline is required; a master's degree is preferred. • It is preferred to have a professional qualification like CA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA. • Three to five years' minimum experience in accounting, ideally in the building or project-based sectors. Knowledge of accounting software, such as Sage, Tally ERP 9, QuickBooks, or others. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax compliance, and work costing. • Knowledge of best practices and financial rules. • Strong ability to analyze and solve problems. • Outstanding organizational and attention to detail abilities. • Proficiency in interpersonal and communication abilities.
