Overview

The ideal applicant will be in charge of installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and fixing different kinds of compressors and pumps, guaranteeing peak performance and little downtime. Understanding hydraulic and pneumatic systems, having practical expertise with mechanical systems, and being able to decipher technical drawings and schematics are all necessary for the position.

Responsibilities

• Install, install, and commission various pump and compressor types, such as diaphragm, rotary, reciprocating, and centrifugal pumps. • To guarantee the durability and dependability of your equipment, do predictive and preventative maintenance. • Carry out regular pump and compressor maintenance, alignment, and calibration. • Check for wear and tear on mechanical parts and replace them as needed. • Use diagnostic tools and procedures to identify issues and malfunctions in compressors and pumps. • Mechanical parts such as seals, bearings, impellers, and rotors should be disassembled, cleaned, repaired, and reassembled. • Replace worn-out or damaged components, including gaskets, cylinders, pistons, and valves. • After repairs, test for functionality using pressure and performance. • To comprehend system layouts and requirements, read and analyse technical documentation, blueprints, and schematics. • For reporting and record-keeping purposes, keep track of repairs, maintenance, and part replacements. • Give thorough reports on errors, the steps taken to fix them, and suggestions for system enhancements. • Make ensuring that every work complies with business policies and industry safety requirements. • Observe the correct lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols when handling dangerous equipment. • Before beginning any maintenance, do safety checks and risk assessments. • Keep your workspace neat and orderly while following cleaning guidelines.

Requirements

• A degree or diploma in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a similar discipline. • A further benefit is having a certification in pump and compressor maintenance. • Three to five years of practical experience in mechanical repair, particularly with compressors and pumps. • Shown expertise with compressors (piston, screw, centrifugal, rotary vane, etc.) and industrial pumps (centrifugal, reciprocating, rotary, diaphragm, etc.). • Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. • The capacity to identify mechanical issues and put workable fixes in place. • Competence with measuring devices, power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment. • Expertise in rotating equipment balance, vibration analysis, and alignment. • Familiarity with pipe systems, valves, gaskets, seals, and bearings. • The capacity to read and comprehend maintenance manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
