Overview

The officer will be in charge of media relations, communication tactics, and digital content management.

Responsibilities

• Produce and oversee interesting material for the company's social media accounts, newsletters, reports, and website. • Create gripping narratives that highlight the accomplishments of the organization, the effect of the program, and beneficiary success. • Make sure the material reflects the organization's branding, values, and mission. • Promote the organization's objectives by interacting with journalists, media outlets, and bloggers. • Create and disseminate articles, media briefings, and press releases. • Report on the visibility of the organization and keep an eye on media coverage. • Create and implement a social media plan to grow your following and engagement. • Organize and plan postings on several social media sites, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook. • Monitor analytics and produce data on audience engagement and reach every month. • Assure efficient communication with community stakeholders, donors, and partners. • Encourage the creation of advocacy initiatives pertaining to climate resilience, entrepreneurship, and gender. • Make sure that all of the communication items have the same branding. • Create advertising items (banners, flyers, infographics, etc.) in conjunction with designers.

Requirements

• Any degree in journalism, public relations, communication, or a similar discipline. • Two years or more of experience in media, digital marketing, or communication (experience with non-profits is preferred). • Strong narrative, editing, and writing abilities. • Competence with content generation and social media management platforms (Canva, Hootsuite, etc.). • Familiarity with email marketing tools, WordPress, and simple graphic design. • The capacity to fulfil deadlines and operate autonomously. • Fervor for community empowerment, rural development, and gender parity.
