Overview

Engineering Receiving, storing, and issuing goods and equipment, keeping track of supply transactions, and confirming that acquired items are included on requisitions and invoices are all tasks that fall under the purview of storekeepers.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record departmental issues and deliveries in the stock ledgers, and balance every day to the necessary standard. • Compare the received products with the vendors' delivery notes. • Get products from vendors. • Make certain that every item is sent right away to the store for whom it was meant and that nothing is left unattended or unprotected in the receiving area. • In order to provide adequate lead time for purchasing, purchase requests for "below minimum" products should be scheduled to be forwarded to the purchasing department in a timely manner. • As requested by the retailers, provide items to the Engineering Department staff. • To oversee the hygienic and cleaning program for every major shop location. • In charge of examining and documenting any products that are distributed after business hours. • In charge of making certain that every storehouse is always locked, watched over, orderly, and clean. • Accountable for carrying out any extra tasks that management assigns and helping out in other purchasing-related areas as required. • In charge of informing the supervisor of any inconsistencies or other possible issues.

Requirements

• An HND or BSc in engineering or a similar discipline • 1-3 years working as an engineering storekeeper, ideally for five-star luxury businesses. • Extra language is helpful. • The capacity to manage a large volume while paying close attention to details. • Outstanding communication abilities, both in writing and speaking. • The capacity to build and maintain productive working relationships with hotel employees, customers, and suppliers. • Strong time-management and organizing abilities. • Always acts with professionalism, discretion, and ethics. • Operates in a responsible, orderly, and safe manner. • The capacity to use mechanical and digital devices. • Proficiency in Word and Excel.
