The logistics manager is in charge of managing the delivery, distribution, and transportation of products while maximizing fleet efficiency. This position supports the production process and customer satisfaction by ensuring effective routing, cost management, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and overall logistics performance.
• Oversee 500+ drivers and 200+ cars to guarantee on-time delivery. • Create and put into action effective routing plans to save fuel expenses and increase output. • Keep an eye on vehicle maintenance plans, fleet performance, and regulatory compliance. • Make sure shipments are tracked and visible in real time with telematics and GPS devices. • Put procedures in place to maximize fleet utilization and minimize vehicle downtime. • Oversee a staff of more than 500 drivers, making sure they are properly trained, compliant, and managed. • Create and implement safety procedures to lower collision rates and enhance driver welfare. • Regularly evaluate drivers, taking into account their performance, fuel economy, and compliance with rules. • To guarantee efficient supply chain operations, coordinate with the teams in charge of manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution. • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, guaranteeing just-in-time (JIT) delivery to eliminate production delays. • To find opportunities for improvement, examine logistical KPIs such as load efficiency, cost per mile, and on-time delivery. • Create backup plans in case of unforeseen circumstances like bad weather, strikes, or car problems. • Oversee logistics budgets, taking into account charges for third-party transportation, gasoline, maintenance, and driver pay. • To improve efficiency, put transport management systems (TMS) into place. • To predict demand and improve supply timetables, use data analytics.
• A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a similar discipline. • Ten or more years of experience in the F&B manufacturing sector as a logistics manager or in a comparable position. • Strong background in transportation, inventory control, and logistics operations. • Outstanding analytical, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities. • Strong team management and leadership skills. • The capacity to work a flexible schedule and react to crises when they arise.
