Metal Fabricator

Overview

To create metal goods and machinery, we are seeking a metal fabricator. Experience with a variety of metals, manufacturing methods, and tools is necessary for the chosen applicant.

Responsibilities

• To produce metal items, interpret requirements, drawings, and blueprints. • Use a variety of fabrication processes to cut, shape, and assemble metal components (e.g., welding, cutting, bending). • Handle fabrication tools including presses, drills, saws, and CNC machines. • Assure precise measurements, quality requirements, and tolerances. • Work together with other craftspeople (such as machinists and welders) to finish the job. • Diagnose fabrication problems and put fixes in place. • Participate in the creation and use of novel fabrication methods and procedures.

Requirements

• Three or more years of experience in a relevant field, such as metal fabrication. • Finishing an apprenticeship program or gaining experience that is comparable. • Competence in fabrication processes, such as cutting, bending, and welding (MIG, TIG, ARC). • Familiarity in using fabrication tools like presses, saws, and CNC machines. • Strong familiarity with specs, drawings, and blueprints. • Outstanding intellectual and problem-solving abilities. • The capacity to operate heavy machinery, in tight areas, and at heights. • Physical endurance to move, lift, and transport large metal parts.
