Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is an essential part of the senior leadership team who is in charge of the company's financial planning, strategy, and expansion. The CFO makes ensuring that financial resources are used in a way that supports the organization's overarching business goals.

Responsibilities

• Create and carry out financial plans that complement the organization's overarching business goals. • Work together with the executive team and CEO to propel the business' expansion. • Collaborate with every team within the organization to create financial models and predictions, forecasts, and budgets. • Create a plan to improve business performance. • Oversee the analysis of consumer and market data to find patterns and inclinations that guide marketing plans and product development. • Create key performance indicators (KPIs) that allow for proactive changes by directly connecting financial performance to strategic business results. • Oversee the development of executive dashboards that provide important financial data in a comprehensible manner so that decisions can be made with knowledge. • Real-time financial reporting through the use of sophisticated analytics technologies facilitates speedier decision-making processes that support strategic efforts. • Make sure financial reports are timely and accurate to aid in decision-making. • Oversee the company's treasury operations, including capital allocation, investment strategies, and cash flow management. • Determine and control financial risks while making sure the business's financial procedures adhere to legal standards. • Oversee daily financial activities, such as tax, audit, and accounting tasks. • Assure data integrity and adherence to financial requirements. • Oversee connections with team leaders, group companies, shareholders, directors, regulators, service suppliers, and other pertinent parties. • Manage investor communications and take part in fundraising events. • Oversee the integration and financial due diligence for prospective mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic investments.

Requirements

• Master's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration • A certified public accountant, ACCA, CA, or any other recognized credential • Seven to ten years of experience, five of which had to have been in a senior leadership role • Experience with international remittance businesses, banks, telecoms, or fintech • It is advantageous to have prior startup job experience. • Capacity to think strategically and create long-term financial plans that support the objectives of the group • Proficiency in fundraising, liquidity, and capital structure management to assist business expansion • Excellent capacity to supervise and guarantee timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with legal standards • Ability to estimate financial performance and oversee the budgeting process
