The chosen applicant will play a key role in the strategic development and implementation of residencies, exhibitions, and fairs, guaranteeing seamless operations and cultivating enduring connections with artists, partners, and the press.
• Develop and carry out the gallery's exhibition program, including shows, events, and artist partnerships, in close coordination with the directors and the crew. • Ensure that artists get the materials and assistance they require while they are at the gallery by supervising every facet of the artist residency program. This include overseeing logistics, liaising with artists, and planning their final shows. • Oversee the daily operations of the gallery, including the setup and upkeep of the exhibits and making sure that artists, guests, and clients are all made to feel welcome. • Oversee and assist the team in Accra, including personnel coordination, task delegation, and upholding a cooperative and effective work environment. • Create and disseminate newsletters, press releases, and other materials to advertise events and exhibits. • Working together with the directors, create and oversee exhibition budgets to make sure projects are completed on time and within budget. To keep operations cost-effective, keep an eye on and record spending. • To guarantee regular and favourable media coverage of exhibits, residencies, and events, cultivate and preserve a solid rapport with the gallery's press agency. • By helping with applications, creating show materials, and, if required, travelling to fairs to represent the organization and oversee logistics, you may support the organization's participation in art fairs.
• Experience: At least three to five years of gallery or arts administration experience, with a solid foundation in exhibition management, team leadership, and artist relations. • Strong project management and organising abilities, as well as the capacity to multitask and adhere to deadlines, are among the capabilities. Outstanding communication skills both in writing and speaking, with the capacity to produce interesting press releases and reports. • Leadership: Demonstrated capacity to successfully lead and oversee a group of people while cultivating a cooperative and upbeat work atmosphere. • Understanding of the Art World: deep appreciation and enthusiasm for modern art, as well as knowledge of art fairs, the international art market, and gallery management. • Networking: The capacity to establish and preserve solid connections with artists, press, curators, collectors, and other important players. • It will be your responsibility to fulfil sales goals by efficiently engaging clients to buy the company's goods and services through inbound and outbound calls and messaging platforms.
