Overview

You will be in charge of supporting the Groups and Events Sales Team's focused sales efforts and, upon request, providing the same support to other qualified sales team members.

Responsibilities

• Through the Director of Groups & Events, continuously collect, comprehend, and apply the growing knowledge of meals, beverages, technical equipment, and interdepartmental procedures to the sales and planning process with the customer. • Keep a current portfolio of planning information for convenient access during the planning and sales process. • Represent the hotel well in all written, phone, and in-person interactions with prospective, existing, and past customers by being a kind and welcoming host, always happy to help, and most importantly, eager to earn their business. • Ask questions to better grasp any unclear instructions or guidelines, and carefully follow all instructions and guidelines provided by the director of groups and events. • Inform all coworkers of any client information that may be essential for a prompt response. • Recognise the significance of carefully and completely preparing all typed paperwork (proposals, contracts, banquet event orders, change forms, and any other inter-departmental forms) to guarantee the expected outcomes. • Take charge of small groups as delegated by the director of groups and events, according to all departmental sales and planning protocols with accuracy and consistency. • Under the direction of the Director of Groups & Events, manage all kinds of events.

Requirements

• A degree in public relations, marketing, hotel management, or a similar discipline is preferred. • At least three (3) years of experience, ideally in banqueting or sales, in a five-star hotel. • Capacity to collaborate and interact in a global setting • Capacity to collaborate and interact in a global setting • The ability to negotiate • Selling abilities • Understanding of pricing and cost tactics, as well as the preparation, serving, and presentation of food and menu items. • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
