Overview

The Retail/Sales Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a retail store or sales team, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and achieving sales targets. This role involves managing sales associates, coordinating merchandising efforts, and ensuring that the store maintains a welcoming environment. The Retail/Sales Supervisor is also responsible for monitoring inventory levels, handling customer complaints, and implementing promotional activities to drive sales and store performance.

Responsibilities

1. Break down of targets to sales promoters and reps and guiding or assisting the team to meet the set targets and exceed goals.
2. Improve sales by tracking, daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and metrics to identify shortfalls and making a good plan to improve sales market share of the brand.
3. Understand customer needs and offer solutions and support.
4. Organize and coordinate sales promotions in assigned areas, to help retail shops and also to increase brand visibility.
5. Work with sales reps to build new customer base (both retail and distribution) to maximize sales
6. Market visitation to access the performance of team members on the field and correct mistakes to meet company standards.
7. Implement strategies to sell products.
8. Feedback competitor activities in the market example pricing, promotions, strategies etc. to management on time in order to build a good strategy to overcome that of the competitor.
9. Hold meetings with team members to train, correct, review performance and motivate for improvement
10. Provide sales reports to management on time.
11. Handling feedback and complaints from the market.

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail or sales management
• Strong leadership skills and team management experience
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to drive sales performance and meet targets
• Good understanding of inventory management and stock control
• Ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Experience in visual merchandising and store layout optimization
• Ability to train, motivate, and develop team members
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management software
• 3 years and above experience


Salary (GHS 5000 GROSS)
