Overview

You will be instrumental in creating and executing strong monitoring and assessment systems in this position to guarantee data-driven choices that maximise the effects of our sustainability programs in the cocoa sector. Growth prospects, cross-team collaboration, and significant contributions to important projects are all offered by this role.

Responsibilities

• Encourage the creation and implementation of frameworks, policies, plans, or instruments for monitoring and evaluation in order to direct the projects' quality monitoring and evaluation.
• As needed, coordinate with pertinent coworkers or partners to review Monitoring and Evaluation plans, tools, and other materials, such as outcomes matrices, reporting templates, etc., on a regular basis.
• Make routine field visits to project locations to ensure and encourage adherence to established standards and implementation schedules, and raise knowledge of reporting
• Create regular internal reports by supplying data and content for monitoring and evaluation, making sure that the reports are outcomes-based to enhance reporting quality and that the results correspond to the indicators included in results matrices.
• Give project managers input on program changes and additions based on observation or assessment.
• By conducting routine project monitoring checks, you may help to enhance and expand the monitoring and evaluation processes in sustainability.
• Enhance field staff's monitoring and evaluation skills through training, coaching, mentoring, and information sharing. Support the creation of materials such as program theory and logic models, monitoring and evaluation data collection tools, training manuals, and presentations.
• Take the lead on initiatives with other researchers and assessors who have been hired.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, computer science, statistics, project management, development studies, monitoring and evaluation, or other relevant social sciences.
• An additional benefit is having at least three years of experience in Ghana's cocoa sector, together with a certification in monitoring and evaluation.
• Strong familiarity with data analysis, indicators, and logic models
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a variety of stakeholders; knowing more local languages is beneficial
• Competent with data analysis tools (such as Python and Power BI) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated success in putting M&E concepts and technologies into practice.
• the capacity to operate in a variety of settings, including occasionally difficult field situations.
• Capacity to oversee a varied group of experts and demonstrated organisational abilities, such as time management
• Willingness to travel upcountry (about 40%–60%)
• Knowledgeable about the cocoa industry's stakeholder engagement and environmental procedures.
• Capacity to manage several tasks and shifting priorities
