Electrical/Automation Engineer

Overview

Working with his team of experts, the Packaging Engineer-Electrical/Automation Engineer answers to the Packaging Maintenance Engineer and is in charge of delivering plant availability and machine efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Attain complete adherence to engineering, safety, and risk management standards. • Contribute to strategies for packaging upkeep. • Become proficient in packaging engineering Important Performance Measures • Enhance asset performance in relation to goals by carrying out efficient planned maintenance tasks (such as shutdowns and overhauls) and, in coordination with the packaging maintenance planner, provide technical advice to packaging teams. • Adopt best engineering techniques and offer guidance on asset care management for packaging. • Take part in the implementation of package overhauls to guarantee that these tasks are finished on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with specifications. • Delivering Right First Time (RFT) on quality and control parameters requires constant monitoring and close attention to detail. To maintain process momentum, promptly address non-conformances. Apply, document, and disseminate lessons learnt to avoid recurrence. • Handle the supplies, parts, and spares needed for their machinery and plants; this involves taking inventory from "bins" that are supplied locally and taking responsibility for the stock that is taken out.

Requirements

• Degree or comparable engineering or HND engineering experience. • A proven aptitude for maintenance engineering in a setting that produces food or beverages. • It will be helpful to have someone with the GhIE or a recognised entity that is comparable. • Demonstrated first-line leadership abilities.
