Warehouse Supervisor

Overview

The ideal applicant should have a solid history in logistics, supply chain management, and operations. In order to enhance procedures, expedite logistics, and create a welcoming, secure, productive, and efficient workplace, warehouse supervisors work in conjunction with other hubs and internal departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the effective receipt of goods from the location and cluster's Supporting Hubs. • Organise and keep an eye on the efficient handling and ideal storage conditions of commodities in warehouses or silos. • Ensure the hub has the resources required for successful and efficient operations by helping to plan for production and external logistical demands. • maintenance of all machinery and storage facilities, making sure that everything runs well and that the storage areas are kept in top shape. • Create and carry out internal transportation schedules to ensure that items are moved effectively and efficiently. • To ensure efficient operations, log and track the movement of commodities using inventory management software. • Create and suggest process improvements to optimise logistics and production. • Verify adherence to all business guidelines, industry rules, and safety requirements. • Reports on commodity quality, production output, and storage levels should be sent to management and supervisors as needed.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in business management, logistics, supply chain, operations, or a similar discipline. • Having a master's degree will be beneficial. • Five to seven years of supervisory experience in logistics, operations, or a comparable setting, preferably in a grain processing plant or other associated sector. • Excellent team management and leadership abilities, as well as a track record of fostering a supportive and effective work environment. • Expertise in quality assurance, logistics planning, and inventory management. • Proficiency with software and systems for inventory management. • Excellent communication abilities to work well with different groups and stakeholders.
