Program officer (Preventive Health Initiatives)

Overview

The Program Officer for Preventive Health will play a crucial role in planning, implementing, and evaluating preventive health programs. To promote preventive health efforts in Ghana, this role entails community engagement, project management, data analysis, and advocacy.

Responsibilities

Program Development and Planning: Work together with internal stakeholders to create and arrange preventive health initiatives that complement company objectives. Create plans to deal with particular preventive health problems and raise community awareness. 

Community Outreach and Engagement: Determine health priorities and possible sites for preventive health activities by conducting needs assessments in the community. Establish and preserve connections with organizations, stakeholders, and leaders in the community.

Project Implementation: Manage the execution of wellness initiatives and screening campaigns as well as other preventive health projects. 
Organize personnel, resources, and logistics to ensure a project is completed successfully.

Data gathering and Analysis: To obtain pertinent health information, use data gathering techniques at screening events and other efforts. 
Examine gathered data to spot patterns, evaluate the success of the program, and provide guidance for upcoming projects.

Requirements

A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant discipline, such as public health or health promotion. 
Demonstrated expertise in the creation, execution, and assessment of programs.
Strong knowledge of community involvement and preventative health practices.
Exceptional organizational and project management abilities. 
Competence in reporting and data analysis. 
Strong advocacy and communication abilities. 
The capacity to cooperate with a variety of stakeholders.
