Overview

In line with the policies, direction, and control of the Board of Directors, the CEO will oversee overall strategy and operations, administering, managing, and guiding the Bank's operations. Within the risk parameters established by the Board and the Regulator, he or she will guarantee the Bank's profitability and sustainability by providing superior returns to all stakeholders, prudently managing the Bank's capital and earnings, and guaranteeing sound operational and HR procedures with effective service delivery to all Bank clients.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

Assist in implementing the Bank's strategy plans in accordance with the Board of Directors' directives by providing strategic leadership and direction.
Maintain, actively engage, collaborate with, and provide support for a robust and productive board of directors. 
Reach business objectives, growth targets, and other KPIs in accordance with the strategic imperatives of the Bank. 
Give the management staff supervision.
Assign responsibilities, plan, track performance, and communicate current value goals and objectives in an effort to improve management's professional effectiveness.

Possess and operate adherence to all applicable financial and regulatory frameworks for the operation.
Serve as a liaison between the Bank and its clients, agencies, and outside partners. 
Create and maintain a solid working rapport with pertinent parties. 
Highlight and successfully convey the Bank's initiatives and achievements. 
Represent the Bank with competence in formal gatherings and events.

Quality Management

Take overall accountability for carrying out the quality control procedures that the Strategic Plan has authorized.
Encourage the use of recognized quality standards and offer suggestions for additional development. 
To make sure that the Bank's operations are in line with the business plan, risk tolerance, and board-approved rules, keep an eye on general operations, products, rivals, strategies, costs, and other risk areas. 
Develop, safeguard, and raise the visibility and value of the Bank's brand.

Professional Development of Management and Staff

Employ, manage, mentor, develop, and hold onto highly skilled employees. 
Encourage adherence to the Strategic Plan's criteria for management and staff training in all areas.

Research and Development

Start and oversee pertinent evaluative research projects. Encourage the release of novel and inventive items.
Oversee the Bank's modernization by putting new computerized processing systems, operating systems, and business development techniques into place.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University, ideally in Business Administration, Finance,

Accounting, Economics or related field

Advanced degree or certification strongly preferred.

Full membership of the ACIB will be an advantage.

10+ years of relevant professional experience or demonstrated elevated level of success related to

Finance, banking, and/or related area.

Deep knowledge of Rural Banking and overall Banking industry in Ghana

Proven managerial experience or demonstrated ability to manage a diverse team in a financial organization.

Proven capacity to effectively accomplish and exceed expectations in respect of the duties described herein.
