Overview

A Premier League football club is in search of several Research Assistants to deliver tailored research and analysis in support of its sponsorship and marketing endeavors. This exceptional opportunity is situated at the Central London offices of a globally recognized football club, celebrated for its achievements and groundbreaking initiatives both on and off the field. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain insights into the dynamic and rapidly evolving sports marketing sector, as well as the inner workings of a prominent sports organization. The internship spans an initial duration of 4-6 months.

Responsibilities

- Drafting reports covering various industries and companies, evaluating their potential suitability for sponsorship and offering initial recommendations.

- Monitoring, identifying, and reporting on developments within the sports business sector.

- Compiling lists of potential companies to target and presenting key performance metrics for these entities.

- Sourcing and verifying contact details for prospects, including through telephone confirmation.

- Assisting in sales meetings by preparing executive profiles and company reports.

- Collaborating with the Commercial Analysis team on diverse requests from different departments.

- Conducting thorough research using multiple resources to fulfill business requirements.

- Demonstrating adaptability and employing innovative and creative problem-solving methods.

- Exhibiting diligence, paying close attention to details, and capable of working independently.

Requirements

- The preferred candidate should be a motivated graduate with a strong academic background.

- Possession of robust desk and internet research skills is essential for this role, making any degree with a focus on analytical and report writing advantageous. Previous experience in sports is not mandatory.

- An ideal candidate should demonstrate a good level of business acumen and the ability to identify commercial opportunities.

- Strong problem-solving abilities are crucial, requiring logical and strategic thinking skills.

- The role necessitates working independently with resourcefulness and self-assurance.

- Candidates should exhibit teamwork skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

- A mature, confident, and professional telephone manner is desirable.

- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel, is advantageous.
