Communications & Marketing Manager

Overview

The Communications & Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the strategic direction of communications and marketing in alignment with our mission, national objectives, and global strategy

Responsibilities

• Strategic Communication: Develop and implement a national communications plan that supports the Ignite framework and aligns with company strategy. Strengthen both internal and external communications, ensuring KPIs are met and continuously improved. Manage communications during emergency relief efforts, providing quality stories, photos, and media content. Offer strategic communications guidance to senior leadership to build reputation and trust. • Internal Communications: Establish a strong internal communications function that engages staff in strategy and ministry execution. Collaborate with the People & Culture (HR) department to create effective communication strategies that foster organizational culture and staff alignment with company goals. • Reputation, Risk, and Influence Management: Position World Vision effectively in mainstream and social media to gain public support for social and policy changes. Proactively manage reputational risks in line with global standards. Identify national and international events to leverage networking and influence opportunities.

Requirements

• A degree in journalism, communications, or media studies. • At least 10 years of professional experience in international communications, media, or journalism, with 5 years in a leadership role. • Experience in budget management and strategic communications. • Expertise in brand management, donor engagement, and emergency communications. • Strong project management experience, including multimedia content production. • Excellent writing, interpersonal, and cross-cultural communication skills. • Ability to travel and work in the field as part of the role. • Preferred: MA in Journalism or Communications, professional marketing certification, and skills in photography and video production.
